For a Safe Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Faith Community Response To Crime Association (CFCRTCA) founded by Reverend Alvin Scales is a non-profit organization seeking to unite the Faith community in an effort to push for justice and peace on the streets. We aim to be proactive in the communities of Cincinnati where violent crimes are destroying neighborhoods. The Faith community has a responsibility to be the light in the community and must step out on faith and intercede on behalf of the community. We must also be willing to stand on the front lines to advocate for civil rest if we want the results that we are seeking when it comes to working towards the goal of reducing gun violence in our communities and in our city. We must also realize that the streets are killing our children so we should be willing to stand up and fight for not only our own survival but the survival of our children and the community.

A Bit About Us

Why we began this work...

The Cincinnati Faith Community Response to Crime Association was inspired by Alexandrea "Sissy" Thompson, a nine year old girl who lost her life during a violent home invasion on January 18, 2017 in the community of Mt Auburn in Cincinnati Ohio. Children should not be losing their lives to gun violence neither should they have to live in fear in their communities. We have an obligation to protect our children. They are our future. Unfortunately young people are also engaging in gun violence at an alarming rate and are losing their lives at the same alarming rate. We must protect our future by protecting our children and trying to steer them away from gun violence and the ways of the streets.

Change a Life

Help save our young people from gun violence by purchasing a copy of the book, "A Young World Drawn to the Gun". Whether young people read the book at home with family, in school,  or while incarcerated they will begin to understand why young people are being drawn to guns. They will also understand that gun violence is not the solution for resolving conflicts and that engaging in gun violence has consequences. They will further learn problem solving strategies, conflict resolutions, and the importance of managing their emotions. Purchase your copy today and help save a life.
